Bac Ninh organizes many traditional folk art performances

This is a sample performance of traditional folk art forms at relics and tourist attractions in Bac Ninh in 2024 for localities to learn from and implement. Attending the program were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; districts, towns and cities; leaders of the Management Board of 14 tourist attractions.

The program, implemented by the Center for Monuments Conservation and Tourism Promotion in collaboration with the Provincial Cultural Center, includes performances of traditional folk art forms such as: Ca Tru, Tuong, Cheo, Trong Quan, Hat Van, Chau Van... The program is elaborately and detailedly constructed, with rich repertoire, well-rehearsed and performed in the space of a large, ancient pagoda, creating an impression, attracting and retaining visitors longer.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee introduced Dong Ho folk painting handicraft products; mother-of-pearl inlay products of Meritorious Artisan Nguyen Dinh Vinh and handicraft demonstration and experience activities. Along with that, there was an introduction of Bac Ninh specialties such as: Banh khuc of Diem village; Banh te of Cho village; Nem Bui Xa; Phu The cake of Dinh Bang; Soy sauce of Dinh To; Khoai cake, Five-color cake, Thi Cau tea; Banh gio of Dap Cau... Some OCOP products of the province such as An Thinh Ba Ly garlic, shrimp paste stewed with meat PTK...

Along with that, the Organizing Committee also arranged a booth to introduce tourism information; display leaflets, brochures, documents, and publications introducing Bac Ninh tourism. Coming to the program, people and tourists can also immerse themselves in the Kinh Bac countryside with the performance of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs; water puppetry in Dong Ngu village, Ngu Thai commune.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province Nguyen Xuan Trung said: The program is organized to create more space for artisans and clubs that are holding and practicing traditional folk art forms. The public has access to and understands more about the precious heritage of Bac Ninh homeland; arousing pride, nurturing love for traditional art among the people. This also contributes to improving the spiritual and cultural life of the people associated with stimulating tourism, improving the quality of destinations such as relics and tourist attractions, thereby improving the quality of the image of the civilized and developed land of Bac Ninh.

In the coming time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province will continue to organize performances of traditional folk art forms, display and promote tourism at a number of relics and tourist attractions on full moon and new moon days, holidays and festivals in the 3 months of Spring 2024. The program takes place at Dau Pagoda, Phat Tich Pagoda, Ba Chua Kho Temple, Kinh Duong Vuong Tomb, festivals at Tam Phu Temple, Cao Lo Vuong Temple, Do Temple...

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to direct the propaganda and dissemination of the performance schedule to the masses, travel agencies and tourism businesses to have plans to build new tourism products, open tours and tourist routes to attract tourists to experience and enjoy.
