To respond to storm No. 3 (storm Yagi), Vietnam Railways Corporation has just issued an urgent dispatch on focusing on responding to storm No. 3 and storm circulation.
Accordingly, the Railway Joint Stock Company, Railway Signal Information Joint Stock Company and Railway Operation Branches are required to inspect key locations at risk of insecurity, reinforce to ensure safety; strictly implement patrol and guard regimes at key locations and key areas.
The units are on duty 24/7 to promptly direct the work of overcoming incidents; prepare plans to be ready to deal with any bad situations that may occur when there is heavy rain or storm to ensure absolute safety for people, vehicles, equipment, factories and railway traffic safety. At the same time, fully equip protective equipment to ensure absolute safety for workers when performing rescue tasks when incidents occur.
For transport units, there must be a response plan, a plan to transport passengers, provide food, essential necessities, and medicine for passenger trains, and preserve goods in areas prone to disruption of railway traffic due to storms. At the same time, ensure absolute safety for passengers, goods, and vehicles.
Units prepare well the information system at stations and on trains to promptly notify passengers at stations and on trains about the developments of rain and storms and plans to stop trains to avoid rain and storms (if any), creating absolute peace of mind for passengers.
Along with that, the units coordinated with the Railway Transport Operations Center to arrange reserve cars for natural disaster prevention.
Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 3 and implementing the directive of the Corporation, railway transport joint stock companies decided to cancel dozens of passenger trains to avoid the impact of storm No. Yagi .
Specifically, train SE11 departing from Hanoi on September 9 and 10 will be canceled; train SE12 departing from Ho Chi Minh City on September 11 and 12 will be canceled.
At the same time, abolish ship LP5/HP2, ship LP8/7 on September 7; abolish ship HP1, LP2 on September 8; abolish ship NA1/NA2 on September 7.
Passengers with tickets for these trains can go to the stations to return their train tickets for free, or change their schedule to other trains without paying a change fee.
