Too much or too little sweat is a pathological phenomenon. According to Oriental medicine, the main cause of disease is due to yin deficiency or yang deficiency.
- Symptoms of yin deficiency: The face is often flushed, the tongue is red, the throat is dry, the cough is dry or has little phlegm; the palms of the hands and soles of the feet and the chest are often hot, often with a slight fever in the afternoon. Sweating a lot when lying down to sleep.
- Symptoms of yang deficiency: Sweating while awake and sleeping... accompanied by symptoms such as dull or pale complexion, pale tongue; feeling tired after a little effort to think or do physical exercise, or panting, restlessness, palpitations, cold limbs and sweating profusely after just a little exercise.

Taboos: People with yin deficiency should avoid eating too many fried, greasy, and oily dishes to avoid the accumulation of “fire” inside and causing illness. People with yang deficiency should avoid eating spicy and hot dishes that stimulate sweating and cold raw dishes that damage yang energy.
Remedy for excessive sweating:
1. Treatment of excessive sweating due to yin deficiency
Recipe 1: 30g young mulberry leaves, boil to get the water, drink instead of water during the day.
Recipe 2: 150-200g eel; use hot water to wash the eel to remove the slime, cut open the belly to remove the organs, chop into small pieces, fry with a little cooking oil or fat until deep golden brown; add water to cook soup to eat, once a day, continuously for 3 days.
2. Treat excessive sweating due to yang deficiency
Recipe 1: 1 goat stomach (or pig stomach), 60g glutinous rice, 15 jujubes (remove seeds); clean the stomach, soak the glutinous rice in water for a while until soft, stuff the jujubes into the goat stomach, tie it tightly with string, put it in a ceramic pot and cook until soft; cut into small pieces and divide into meals.
Recipe 2: 60g glutinous rice root, 7 jujubes; boil in water and drink during the day.

3. Treat excessive sweating due to the body not recovering from illness
Recipe 1: 300g young mulberry leaves, 200g mugwort, 150g motherwort. Dry mulberry leaves and mugwort in the shade, grind into fine powder; roast motherwort until cooked, grind into powder, sift, mix well with the above 2 ingredients; use ripe banana, quarter, dry, crush, mix well with the medicinal powders to make pills the size of corn kernels; 7 pills each time, take 3 times a day, take continuously for 15 days as 1 course of treatment.
Recipe 2: 30g black beans, 10g longan, 30g jujube; wash all, put in a clay pot, simmer for about 1 hour, divide into 2 doses to drink during the day, continuously for 15 days.
Lesson 3: 50g eel meat, 100g rice; cook into porridge and divide into meals to eat in the morning and evening before going to bed.
Lesson 4: 30g clam meat (or mussel meat), 60g chives; soak clam meat in warm water for a while, add chopped chives, simmer until cooked, eat with meals.
