Tuoi Tre Newspaper donated nearly 1.3 billion VND to the school in Bac Ha

On June 18, Tuoi Tre Newspaper coordinated with Lao Cai Provincial Youth Union and Bac Ha District People's Committee to inaugurate and hand over Quan Din Ngai Kindergarten belonging to Ban Pho Kindergarten (Bac Ha District).

The works are a great gift for teachers and students of the school.

This is an activity within the program "Reconstruction for people in flood-affected areas" of Tuoi Tre Newspaper.

Due to the impact of storm No. 3 in 2024, the school is located in an area at risk of landslides. Based on the wishes of teachers and students of the school, as well as the proposal of the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ha district, Tuoi Tre Newspaper surveyed and invested in construction.

The new Quan Din Ngai Kindergarten was built near the old school. The total cost of construction and purchase of equipment, toys, water filters, etc. was nearly 1.3 billion VND. The new construction items include: 2 classrooms, 1 kitchen and 1 restroom with a total area of ​​over 200 m2 .

The entire budget is taken from contributions from readers of Tuoi Tre Newspaper and a part of 1 billion VND contributed by Professor, Doctor Le Ngoc Thach, former lecturer of the University of Natural Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University) to support the program "Together with youth to support compatriots affected by storm No. 3 - 2024".

Professor, Doctor Le Ngoc Thach gave each child at the school an additional gift worth 100,000 VND, with a total amount of 9.8 million VND; Morinaga Milk Group (Japan) donated 40 cartons of milk to children at Quan Din Ngai Kindergarten.

Children are excited to play with game equipment sponsored by Tuoi Tre Newspaper.

On this occasion, Tuoi Tre Newspaper also presented livelihood support of 15 breeding horses to 15 households severely damaged by storm No. 3, with a total value of about 300 million VND (about 20 million VND/household).
