Currently, Ho Chi Minh City has 5,217 preschools , more than 64,960 managers, teachers, and staff taking care of, nurturing, and educating 521,552 children. Due to the large population and large area, there is a gap between urban centers and rural areas, densely populated areas and special economic zones with many difficulties. Therefore, digital transformation and technology application in management, teaching, providing food, learning materials, utensils, toys, as well as supporting the implementation of advanced educational methods have become essential requirements to gradually fill the gap.

Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that recently, preschool education has cooperated with enterprises on technology solutions to deploy electronic databases to manage children, teachers, staff, facilities, and connect with the city's education sector database. At the same time, deploy digital solutions such as school management software, electronic records, and electronic contact books.
Q MANAGE DIGITAL RECORDS OF TENS OF THOUSANDS OF TEACHERS AND HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN
Up to now, according to the database of the Department of Education and Training, 4,932 preschools in the city have completed updating data. More than 3,801 managers; 40,345 teachers and 521,552 children are managed by digital records. Many software for managing and supporting preschools are applied in practice, helping to automate activities such as: software to support the design of electronic lesson plans, nutrition management, attendance, health monitoring, interaction between teachers and parents...
In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that a number of businesses have coordinated to support the construction of digital learning materials warehouses, online training platforms, lesson design tools, and universal education software, contributing to improving the digital capacity of teachers and managers. At the same time, technology units support technology transfer and training, helping schools effectively operate the "digital kindergarten" model.
Digitalization is also specifically demonstrated in menu building, calculating portions and nutrition for children every day. At the 19/5 City Kindergarten (Tan Dinh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), with nutrition software, the school monitors the portion to ensure it is adequate, balanced, and age-appropriate. The software also calculates to help minimize the lack or excess of micronutrients; reduces errors in calculating ingredients, food costs, etc. Catering staff only have to worry about performing operations to ensure a safe one-way kitchen process. Management staff, teachers and parents accompany each other to check and supervise. Notably, nutritional information in children's meals is also connected to the Department of Education and Training's data axis for easy management. At the same time, menus and information about children's meals are also updated for parents via electronic contact books, etc.
Ms. Huynh Vu Ngoc Phuong, Vice Principal of Vang Anh Kindergarten, Cho Quan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, said that from her unit's reality, the application of software such as revenue and expenditure management, teacher management, student management, nutrition, education planning, etc. helps improve the effectiveness of child care and education. For example, the education planning software will be deployed at the school from the 2025-2026 school year; the update and storage system ensures connectivity, supporting the assessment of children's development. The software also helps teachers save time in drafting and storing; supports exporting files on demand, linking with electronic contact book software, helping parents monitor education plans and coordinate with the school in child care and education, etc.

In the coming time, the city's preschool level will continue to strengthen public-private cooperation in the fields of digital transformation, learning materials, and advanced educational methods.

INFORMATION TRANSPARENCY, EFFECTIVE BIG DATA MANAGEMENT
At the preschool education development connection festival at the end of October, Ms. Le Thuy My Chau, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, affirmed that digitalizing preschools brings many benefits, helping to standardize management processes, save time, publicize information and improve the effectiveness of interaction between schools and parents. In particular, the construction and completion of the preschool education database has helped the Department of Education and Training have a comprehensive, accurate and timely view of the quantity, quality of staff, facilities and the situation of children, thereby making development decisions close to reality, improving the quality of management.
However, the Department's leaders also acknowledged that the expansion of cooperation in the field of digital learning materials and digital capacity training for independent preschools is still limited in scale. The reason is that some independent preschools still face difficulties in funding and human resources to synchronously deploy new solutions.
Ms. Luong Thi Hong Diep, Head of the Preschool Education Department, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, said that in the coming time, the city's preschool level will continue to strengthen public-private cooperation in the fields of digital transformation, learning materials, and advanced educational methods.
Digitalizing preschools continues to be a key task for preschools in the 2025-2026 school year and beyond to ensure information transparency, effectively manage big data, and improve the quality of child care, nurturing, and education. At the same time, the city will build a network of businesses that accompany preschool education, promote exchanges, share experiences, needs, and ideas. From there, encourage businesses to participate in projects to support teachers in improving digital capacity, designing digital learning materials, and building a shared resource warehouse for preschools.
