Accordingly, a python weighing 37kg was discovered and captured by the family of Mr. Tran Duc Minh (residing in Tien Thanh village, Ky Khang commune, Ha Tinh province) when it wandered into their garden.
As soon as they learned that it was an endangered and rare wild animal, Mr. Minh's family notified the local authorities so that it could be handed over to the relevant agencies.

Additionally, while gardening, Mr. Nguyen Van Thuyet's family (residing in Tan Thanh village, Duc Dong commune, Ha Tinh province) discovered two rare pythons, weighing a total of 11 kg.
Shortly afterward, his family proactively notified and handed over the case to the authorities for handling according to regulations.

The Burmese python, scientifically known as Python bivittatus (formerly Python molurus), is listed in the category of endangered, rare, and precious forest animals, group IIB, according to Circular 27/2025/TT-BNNMT. This species is also listed in the Red Book of Vietnamese animals and requires protection and conservation; its exploitation and use are strictly prohibited.
