Discuss solutions to grow over 8%

The Vietnam Economic Forum 2025 will open its first session with the theme "Breakthrough solutions to achieve the growth target of over 8%" tomorrow (March 13) in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Economic Forum 2025, the forum was held in Ho Chi Minh City, with the first session discussing breakthrough solutions for growth of over 8%. Because 2025 is of special importance, being the last year of the 5-year socio-economic development plan (2021-2025).

During this period, the Government set a GDP growth target of over 8%, demonstrating great determination for a strong breakthrough of the country's economy, entering an era of national growth.

Participating in the first session of the Vietnam Economic Forum 2025, there will be speakers, leading economic and financial experts in the country, such as: Dr. Tran Du Lich - Chairman of the Advisory Council for Resolution 98 of the National Assembly; Dr. Nguyen Dinh Cung - Former Director of the Central Institute for Economic Management; Mr. Nguyen Ba Hung - Chief Economist in Vietnam, Asian Development Bank (ADB).

With the theme "Breakthrough solutions to achieve the growth target of over 8%", the first session of the Vietnam Economic Forum 2025 will focus on discussing two important topics, including: New driving force from institutional reform and streamlining the apparatus; Traditional growth drivers still have much room.

At the forum, leaders, experts, businesses and local representatives also had the opportunity to exchange and share experiences and propose practical reform solutions. From there, they contributed to achieving the country's economic development goals in the new development stage.
