Handing over the Memorial House of People's Armed Forces Hero Hoang Minh Dao

On April 22, the People's Committee of Mong Cai city, Quang Ninh province, in coordination with the General Department II of the Ministry of National Defense, held an inauguration ceremony and handed over the Memorial House for Martyrs and Heroes of the People's Armed Forces Hoang Minh Dao to the People's Committee of Hai Xuan commune, Mong Cai city.

Comrade Hoang Minh Dao (real name Dao Phuc Loc) was born into a family with a patriotic tradition in Vuon Trau village, Hai Xuan commune, Mong Cai district (now Hai Xuan commune, Mong Cai city), Quang Ninh province; he was one of the first party members of the provincial Party Committee.

Comrade Hoang Minh Dao was the first Chief of the Intelligence Department (now General Department II, Ministry of National Defense); the one who laid the foundation for Vietnam Army intelligence; made many contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party, the nation and the people of Vietnam; was a Martyr and Hero of the People's Armed Forces.

He died in December 1969 on the Vam Co River, passing through Tay Ninh Province. The search for the body of Martyr Hoang Minh Dao lasted for three decades. In 1998, Ms. Dao Thi Minh Van (daughter of Comrade Hoang Minh Dao) and her comrades found her father's remains in An Hoa Commune, Trang Bang District, Tay Ninh Province.

The memorial service for the comrade was solemnly organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. The Memorial House of the People's Armed Forces Hero and Martyr Hoang Minh Dao is located in the planning area of the Cultural House of Village 9, Hai Xuan Commune. The project includes: the Memorial House, the surrounding area and accompanying auxiliary items.

The construction of the project has profound humanistic value, demonstrating the sentiments and responsibilities of the Party Committee, commanders, generations of soldiers of the General Department II - Ministry of National Defense, of the leaders of Quang Ninh province, the Party Committee, the government, the people, Mong Cai city and Hai Xuan commune about the morality of drinking water, remembering its source, repaying gratitude to show gratitude for the sacrifice of Martyr, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Hoang Minh Dao.

This place contributes another red address, a community activity point for the people, a cultural tourism destination for visitors; thereby, contributing to educating traditions, arousing pride, raising awareness and responsibility for Party committees, authorities at all levels, cadres, soldiers and people determined to strive to excellently complete all assigned tasks./.
