Launched in March 2025, “Proud of Vietnam” is an online contest on knowledge of history, culture, geography and national traditions, aiming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Speaking at the final, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of Young Pioneers Nguyen Pham Duy Trang emphasized that the contest is not only an intellectual playground, but has truly become a broad political activity, with great educational significance for the youth and people of all walks of life nationwide.


With nearly 5 million entries on two platforms, the website baocaovien.vn and the Thanh Nien Viet Nam application, the contest has affirmed its appeal and strong influence. The highlight of the contest is the innovation and creativity in the organization method when it is implemented entirely on a digital platform, especially through the Thanh Nien Viet Nam application, clearly demonstrating the pioneering spirit of youth in the national digital transformation.
According to comrade Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, historical knowledge is not dry numbers and events on paper. History is the origin, the root, the spiritual foundation for us to understand the value of independence, freedom and to foster the will and aspiration to rise up.
“More than anyone else, the young generation must be the ones who have the deepest understanding of the nation's history, in order to turn pride in the past into concrete actions in the present and future,” emphasized comrade Nguyen Pham Duy Trang.

After the exciting weekly and semi-final rounds, the 5 best teams were selected to participate in the National Final Round, including: Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Fatherland Front Youth Union and Central organizations, Military Youth Committee, Government Youth Union and Vinh Long Provincial Youth Union.
The final round was organized in the form of direct confrontation, 5 teams competed in 5 sections including: "National Spirit", "Decoding History", "Pride of Vietnam", "Confidently Continuing", "Era of Rising".
At the end of the National Finals, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to the Army Youth Union; Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union won the Second Prize and the Fatherland Front Youth Union and Central Organizations won the Third Prize.
The teams received Certificates of Merit from the Central Youth Union for each member and cash prizes worth 30 million VND, 25 million VND and 15 million VND,

The individual prize was awarded to Nguyen Quang Tuyen, Secretary of the People's Security Youth Union (Dong Thap Provincial Police), the contestant with the highest total score in 8 weeks of competition. The individual prize includes a prize of 5 million VND and the opportunity to participate in the "Youth for the Sea and Islands of the Homeland" Journey, visiting Truong Sa archipelago in 2026.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to Vinh Long Provincial Youth Union - the unit with the largest number of contestants and the Provincial Youth Union with the largest proportion of union members and young people participating.
