On June 13, the People's Committee of Tu Mo Rong District (Kon Tum) announced that it had issued a decision to administratively sanction Ms. Ha Thi Lu (37 years old, in Ha Nam ) for selling infertility drugs of unknown origin.

Previously, on June 5, Ms. Lu went to the house of Ms. YD (26 years old) and Mr. AH (28 years old, in Ngoc Leang village, Dak Ha commune, Tu Mo Rong district) to consult and sell infertility medicine. Ms. Lu promised that after using it for about 2 months, they would have a child.

Ms. Lu and the evidence were seized by the authorities.

Ms. YD’s family agreed to buy the infertility medicine for 3.8 million VND. Because she did not have enough money, Ms. YD went to the village chief’s house to borrow more. Suspecting that this was a scam, village chief Ngoc Leang reported it to the Dak Ha Commune Police.

Dak Ha Commune Police went to Ms. YD's house to verify the incident, made a record of the incident, a record of temporary detention of the vehicle and exhibits, and invited Ms. Lu and all related people to the headquarters to continue the investigation.

Working with the police, Ms. Lu could not provide a practice certificate and the origin of the drugs. In addition, this person could only provide a letter of introduction from the People's Committee of An Do Commune (Binh Luc District, Ha Nam) to localities inside and outside the province to treat patients for the people.

Immediately afterwards, the authorities drew up an administrative violation report against Ms. Lu for selling oriental medicine without a practice certificate and without documents proving the origin of the medicine.

Tu Mo Rong District People's Committee decided to administratively fine Ms. Lu 25 million VND.
