The Standing Committees of Quang Ngai and Kon Tum Provincial Party Committees met to discuss plans to merge provincial administrative units.

On the morning of April 15, in Kon Plong district (Kon Tum), the Standing Committee of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee held a conference to deploy a number of contents related to the merger of provincial-level administrative units.

Attending the conference on the side of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee were comrades: Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Bui Thi Quynh Van; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Dang Ngoc Huy; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dinh Thi Hong Minh; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and leaders of a number of departments and branches.

On the Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee side, there were comrades: Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Duong Van Trang; Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of U Huan province; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Tuan; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Tuy; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and leaders of a number of departments and branches.

Conference scene.

The conference will discuss and agree on the establishment of joint working groups between the two provinces to carry out the tasks assigned by the central government to the provincial level to form a joint province, such as: Working group on administrative units; Working group on organization, apparatus, and staff; Working group on cadres; Working group on local policies; Working group on headquarters and public assets; Working group on finance and budget.

Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Bui Thi Quynh Van spoke at the conference.

Discuss the assignment of officials to act as focal points for coordination between the respective agencies of the two provinces to facilitate the exchange and resolution of work related to the two provinces for the merger, including the following agencies: Provincial Party Standing Committee; Provincial People's Committee Party Committee; Provincial Party Committee of Party Agencies; Provincial Party Organization Committee and Department of Home Affairs.

Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Kon Tum Provincial People's Council Duong Van Trang spoke at the conference.

The conference will give opinions on the first draft of the Project and Plan for the merger of the two provinces. Give opinions on the unification of the schedule and meeting place to resolve the work of the two Provincial Party Standing Committees from now until September 1, 2025.
