Not only did Minh Vu create a cake that looked exactly like a real balut egg, he also gave the judges the experience of cracking a balut egg with a spoon. The cake surprised the judges because it looked like a balut egg and the inside tasted delicious.
For the liquid inside the fertilized duck egg, Minh Vu used monk fruit to cook with fresh coconut water. He also delicately crumbled the hard part inside the fertilized duck egg and mixed it with Vietnamese coriander.
Minh Vu's process of making balut cake is quite elaborate.
In the "super product" of the duck egg cake, Minh Vu was creative when using ingredients including Chinese clematis, frozen young coconut, monk fruit, lemongrass, Vietnamese coriander, white chocolate, and salted eggs to create a "realistic" duck egg cake.
Culinary artist Le Thi Kieu Oanh (Vice President of the Vietnam Bakery Association and international judge of the World Chefs Association - Worldchefs) gave many compliments to Minh Vu's cakes: "All the dishes are delicious and interesting, only a small suggestion in the salt and pepper part of the duck egg cake: if you add a little chocolate and pepper, it will enhance the flavor". Judge Anaïs Ca Dao van Manen, R&D chef of the Bakes Saigon bakery chain, commented that Minh Vu's cakes are highly interactive because diners can make their own spring rolls, make their own bread and crack the duck eggs.
The Mekong cake, "Birds of a feather flock together" helped pastry chef Dinh Duc win the championship of the competition.

After the intense competitions, the final results of Super Cake season 2 were announced by Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 Ngoc Chau: the champion was baker Dinh Duc with a work of art with the typical flavors of most of the provinces of the Southwest region called Mekong, the land of good birds . 1st runner-up Minh Vu with a unique cake set Traveling on Vietnamese streets . Sharing his feelings after the show, Minh Vu said he was very happy because he did not think that the duck cake would create such a big surprise. "Through my creativity, I want to send a message to young people to do what they like," he said.
