Australian travel consultancy Travel2Next praises Vietnam as a place worth visiting and living because of its low cost of living, such as food, accommodation, and healthcare .

Travel2Next, a travel consulting and destination introduction website based in Australia, introduces Vietnam as a "great country to visit" and one of the lowest living options in the world . The expat community living in Vietnam is growing.

The travel news site introduces the standard of living in three major cities in Vietnam, which are also places that attract foreign tourists to travel and live. First is Ho Chi Minh City, which has warm weather all year round, with many options for cuisine , entertainment and activities. According to Travel2Next, the lowest cost of long-term accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City is 300 - 400 USD per month (about 7.2 - 9.7 million VND) for a basic apartment. With a rent of 2,000 USD per month, visitors can stay in luxury apartments with full amenities. Food in Ho Chi Minh City is diverse, with many "delicious and cheap" street foods. The cost of food here is about 200 USD per month.

In Hanoi, a traditional “fun and vibrant” city, the cost of living is slightly cheaper than in Ho Chi Minh City. The weather here has all four seasons. Monthly apartment rental prices in Hanoi are between 300 and 1,000 USD. Cuisine is also as diverse as in Ho Chi Minh City, with many traditional dishes and monthly spending on food is around 150 USD.

Another city Travel2Next recommends is Da Nang, a coastal city “famous for expats” and the cheapest of the three. Accommodation costs start at around $200 per month, with higher prices offering more amenities. Da Nang is also a foodie paradise, with monthly food costs around $100-200. There are also plenty of high-end dining experiences.

The common point of these 3 cities is that the cost of transportation is similar, and all have full technology car booking services. Travel2Next suggests that foreign visitors who intend to live in Vietnam should buy a motorbike to save a lot of transportation costs. The public transportation system in the cities is commented as "in the process of completion" but does not affect travel too much. To travel between cities, visitors can choose to fly, train, bus or rent a private car.

In addition to the low cost of living, another reason why Vietnam is “worth living” is its good health care system in terms of both quality and price. The Australian news site advises tourists to buy travel insurance or international insurance just in case. In the three cities mentioned above, there are many high-quality public clinics and hospitals that can meet most medical needs. A general health check-up, including blood tests, costs from only $40 without insurance.

Cuisine is also one of the reasons why Vietnam is attractive. Travel2Next introduces Vietnam as having a "coffee culture" worth enjoying and exploring. Coconut coffee is recommended.

Vietnam is also praised for its nature, with a long coastline. From Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, tourists can travel to many tourist destinations within just 2 hours.
