In 2017, at Ky Hon estuary, where the Tien River and Cho Gao Canal meet, the statue of Quan Am Nam Hai Bodhisattva was built of reinforced concrete, 33 m high, with an 8 m wide base, in a standing position holding a bowl of prajna facing the immense Tien River. Since its inauguration, the statue of Mother Nam Hai has become a sacred place of worship, attracting a large number of tourists and Buddhists. In the midst of the quiet countryside scene, the statue is like a symbol of protection, bringing peace to those who make a living on the river.

The highlight of the pagoda is the statue of Bodhisattva Guanyin of the South China Sea standing holding a bowl of prajna facing the Tien River.

Continuing the spiritual projects, in 2019, the main hall of Lien Hoa Pagoda began construction. The project was uniquely constructed in the form of a simulation of the Stupa in the Lotus Sutra (the Present Treasure Tower chapter). At a height of about 15 m are statues of Buddha Sakyamuni and Buddha Da Bao; below are three architectural floors: the ground floor is the monks' house and living area, the first floor is the Patriarch's Hall, the second floor is the main hall. Each floor is engraved with a word: "Buddha", "Dharma", "Sangha", creating a majestic and solemn overall. Currently, the project is still being completed.

The statue of Mother Nam Hai is located in the campus of Lien Hoa Buddhist Temple, located right on the bank of Tien River and only about 10 km from the center of My Tho. The temple campus is spacious and airy, with statues of 18 Arhats, 12 zodiac animals and many vivid Buddhist scenes. From here, looking out over the vast Tien River, visitors can feel the peace and tranquility that few places have.

Many people go to the temple to pray for peace and blessings.

More and more people come to Lien Hoa Pagoda and the statue of Mother Nam Hai to pray for peace, worship and find peace of mind, especially on full moon days, major holidays and Tet. From a wild land of the past, this place has now become a typical cultural and spiritual destination of the Mekong Delta, a place for everyone to light an incense stick, entrust their faith and good things.
The road to Lien Hoa Pagoda is not too difficult. If you depart from Ho Chi Minh City, you can take a bus to Tien Giang (old) or travel on your own on the Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho route. Then, from My Tho, go towards Cho Gao gate, on Highway 50, there will be a right turn to D16, continue following D16 over Cho Gao 3 bridge and turn right to reach the pagoda. From the center of My Tho to the pagoda is only about 10 km, the road is clear. However, on big holidays, there are days when the pagoda welcomes more than 10,000 people to offer incense, so traffic jams sometimes occur in the area in front of the pagoda gate.
The best time to visit Mother Nam Hai is early morning or cool afternoon, because at this time the gentle sunshine and cool breezes create an extremely peaceful scene on the banks of the Tien River.
