Sharing at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien-Hue province, reviewed the results achieved in the socio-economic field of the province in 2023; informed about the roadmap and next steps in the coming time to accelerate socio-economic development, especially the highlights to successfully implement the goals and criteria to turn the whole province into a centrally-run city, according to Resolution 54 of the Politburo .

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien-Hue province also emphasized the important role of the press team in communication work, spreading the results that the locality has made efforts and achieved in the process of implementing the goals of Resolution 54 - Politburo. At the same time, he shared that many problems and incidents that the press reported were promptly handled by the management agencies and provincial leaders, and received public support and consensus, creating a high consensus in society. Therefore, the press does not just stop at writing about the good and "rosy" aspects, but also needs to have constructive criticism so that the locality can promptly detect the shortcomings, thereby doing better.

In order to recognize the contributions of the press in the past year, at the conference, the Propaganda Department of Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Party Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 groups and 16 reporters and journalists with many achievements in propaganda work about Thua Thien-Hue province in 2023.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the 2nd Press Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) of Thua Thien - Hue province in 2023 also commended 5 collectives with outstanding achievements in organizing, launching, responding to and participating in the award; 30 authors and groups of authors with works winning high prizes in various categories; of which, Television: 1 A prize, 1 B prize, 2 C prizes, 3 consolation prizes.
