On June 9-10, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Tan Dung led a delegation to inspect the preparations for the high school graduation exam in Vinh Long and An Giang provinces. Localities affirmed their determination to organize the exam seriously, safely, in accordance with regulations and provide maximum support for candidates, especially those in difficult circumstances.
In Vinh Long , the working group surveyed the actual facilities at the examination sites, inspected the working areas of the examination officers and plans to ensure safety for the exam.
According to Ms. Truong Thanh Nhuan, Director of the Department of Education and Training, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Examination Steering Committee of Vinh Long province, in the 2024-2025 school year, the whole province has 11,730 candidates registered to take the exam at 30 examination sites, with a total of 523 examination rooms. The organization of the exam mobilized 1,914 cadres, teachers and staff to participate.
The Provincial Examination Steering Committee has requested departments, branches and localities to develop specific coordination plans and proactively support candidates in difficult circumstances. The authorities have developed scenarios to respond to natural disasters, food safety incidents, fire prevention and fighting and traffic safety. In particular, the Provincial Youth Union has mobilized 1,000 members to participate in the program "Supporting the 2025 Examination Season".
Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Vinh Long Provincial Examination Steering Committee, emphasized: "Ensuring the health and safety of officials, teachers and students is the top priority. The organization is carried out according to the principle of clear people, clear work, clear time, clear results. Relevant units have fully prepared facilities, human resources plans and increased medical forces to closely monitor at examination sites".
In An Giang, exam preparations were also carried out synchronously, with special attention paid to exam locations in border areas, remote areas and island areas. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said that the locality had developed a detailed coordination plan between forces, strengthened logistics and technical work and stepped up propaganda so that candidates and parents could clearly understand the exam regulations.
Notably, the An Giang Department of Education and Training directed schools to coordinate with mass organizations and the Parents' Association to review and promptly support candidates in difficult circumstances, so that no student would miss the exam due to economic conditions.
Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Examination Steering Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy affirmed her determination to organize the exam seriously, in accordance with regulations, and absolutely safely. "An Giang has reviewed and supplemented fire prevention and fighting systems, surveillance cameras, electrical systems and backup plans at all examination sites."
Appreciating the serious preparation and responsibility of the two localities, Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung suggested continuing to clearly define the responsibilities of each member of the Steering Committee, linking each task with specific results throughout the implementation process.
The Deputy Minister requested localities to strengthen inter-sectoral coordination, inspect equipment, and ensure absolute safety in the stages of printing, transporting, and storing exam papers: "In particular, An Giang - a locality with many special exam sites - needs to pay special attention to travel, accommodation, and support for candidates in difficult areas."
Emphasizing "No candidate is left behind", Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung requested localities to continue supporting students in terms of knowledge, psychology, health, and creating a safe environment for cadres, teachers, and employees to participate in performing their duties.
The Deputy Minister also noted the need to step up propaganda and mobilize parents and the community to participate, contributing to ensuring that the 2025 high school graduation exam takes place seriously, safely, in accordance with regulations and is a great success.
