According to Mr. Trinh Trung Kien, Deputy Director of the Provincial Social Insurance Agency, the use of electronic receipts in collecting voluntary social insurance and household health insurance contributions has brought many clear benefits. Electronic receipts help to manage more effectively, reduce costs, expedite processing, and minimize errors in recording compared to using paper receipts. After issuing a receipt, staff can immediately send it to the citizen via Zalo, and citizens can conveniently store it on their phones. The management of collection and payment is also much more transparent and accurate.
Besides electronic receipts, the social insurance sector is also promoting comprehensive digital transformation in many other areas such as: health insurance medical examinations and treatment using chip-embedded citizen identification cards; insurance registration through the Public Service Portal; VssID application - comprehensive digital insurance; cashless payments; data connection and interoperability with other sectors: health , justice, transportation, etc.
Ca Mau General Hospital uses registration kiosks for medical examinations, making it convenient for people.
To date, the sector has achieved many positive results in digital transformation, such as: 99.23% of demographic information has been verified between the Social Insurance Agency and the Population Database; 100% of medical facilities can look up health insurance information using chip-embedded citizen identification cards, with over 9 million successful searches; over 328,000 people have installed and used the VssID application; the health insurance claims assessment system connects all medical facilities, processing over 3 million health insurance claims in the first months of this year; 84.55% of electronic transactions are conducted through level 4 public services; the rate of cashless payments is high: pensions 75.82%, lump-sum social insurance 96.62%, unemployment insurance 99.95%. In addition, the Social Insurance Agency is promoting data linkage to serve the issuance of driver's health certificates, birth certificates, death certificates, health insurance cards for children under 6 years old, etc., contributing to reducing administrative procedures and creating maximum convenience for the people.
People use their chip-embedded citizen identification cards when going for medical examinations.
Thanks to the digital transformation efforts of the social insurance sector, people can now pay insurance premiums, go for medical check-ups, and receive pensions or benefits directly on their smartphones quickly, conveniently, and transparently.
