Bao Loc expands production and livestock farming towards organic direction

Bao Loc City is encouraging farmers to expand organic production and livestock farming in the area.

Accordingly, the whole city produces organically with 21 households growing 3 hectares of vegetables (35 tons/year); 3 households growing 1.2 hectares of wood ear mushrooms (70 tons/year).

Regarding organic farming, Bao Loc City has 2 households raising 20,000 egg-laying black chickens (1.8 million eggs/year); 7 households raising 33,000 industrial chickens (549,000 kg/year); 2 households raising 26 dairy cows (72,000 liters of milk/year).

In addition, Lam Dong Agricultural Extension Center guides a farm to raise 10,000 chickens in an organic manner; Lam Dong Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection is also guiding production and granting VietGAP certification to a household growing 2,000 m2 of vegetables, tubers, and fruits and 2 households raising 30,000 egg-laying chickens in Loc Phat ward; 1 household raising 100 pigs in Loc Chau commune...
