Nhan Dan Newspaper donates 100,000 copies of Special Supplement 2/9 to Da Nang residents

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, Nhan Dan Newspaper launched a special issue September 2 and a special supplement September 2, vividly depicting the nation's 80-year journey of building and defending the country.

Since August 29, the Special Supplement 2/9 has been available in provinces and cities across the country and has been distributed and given away free of charge to readers nationwide.

In Da Nang, the Representative Office of Nhan Dan Newspaper in the Central Highlands region gave away 100,000 copies of the Special Supplement 2/9 to the people, from August 29 to September 3, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

From 8:00 a.m. on September 29, many people were present at the Standing Office of Nhan Dan Newspaper in Da Nang to receive the special supplement, check-in, read information, and experience interactions from the publication.

People expressed their appreciation to Nhan Dan Newspaper for bringing special publications on the occasion of the great festival, contributing to arousing gratitude and pride in the Fatherland.

Coming to receive the publication early, Ms. Ho Thi Ai Phuong, a lecturer at Duy Tan University, shared: "My husband's parents are both veterans, currently living in their hometown of Quang Tri . On this occasion, I will bring the publication back to give to my parents as a meaningful gift. The family has also planned to revisit historical sites such as Thach Han Bridge and Quang Tri Ancient Citadel and bring the publication to record moments at those destinations."

On this occasion, many agencies, units and schools also took the opportunity to receive publications to give to students, officers and soldiers.

The special supplement 2/9 consists of 2 parts: The first part recreates the image of President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square, and prints the entire Declaration of Independence - the immortal document affirming the independence and freedom of the Vietnamese people.

The second part introduces 80 outstanding events over the past 80 years in the fields of politics, economics, society, foreign affairs, culture, etc.

The art design was hand-drawn by artist Kim Duan, combining political commentary with visual art, aiming to arouse national pride and foster patriotism in generations, especially the younger generation.

In parallel with the release of special publications, Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with Vietravel Hanoi organized an interactive exhibition to bring the public closer to history through multi-sensory experiences from August 29 to September 3, 2025 in Hanoi.
