Quang Hai left Pau FC to return to Vietnam to play for Cong An Ha Noi Club after only one season. However, in many people's opinion, that move was a liberation for the midfielder born in 1997 after a long time sitting on the bench at Pau FC.
MaLigue 2 newspaper expressed regret that Quang Hai could not perform as expected at Pau FC. They said that the intensity of the European training was too much for the Vietnamese midfielder.
The newspaper wrote: "Quang Hai did not win over fate when he risked his career. A year after leaving Hanoi FC, the Vietnamese midfielder returned to his homeland. The attacker left Pau FC after playing 12 matches and scoring 1 goal in Ligue 1.
Quang Hai is known as "Vietnamese Messi". He was a curious name in the transfer market last summer. In the first few times Quang Hai played for Pau FC, fans saw the quality of a quality player. However, later on, this player could not keep up with the intensity of the game in Europe.
For that reason, Quang Hai was gradually pushed out of coach Didier Tholot's plan since the beginning of 2023. In the end, the Vietnamese midfielder did not choose to continue trying to revive in France but returned home to play for the Hanoi Police Club under a one-and-a-half-year contract.
Previously, the Sud Ouest newspaper said that the Vietnamese player was just a commercial contract of Pau FC. This newspaper wrote: "Pau FC has had an unstable season as expected. Many players had to leave the club at the end of the season.
The first is Quang Hai. The Vietnamese player announced early that he would no longer join the adventure with Pau FC even though he still had more than a year left on his contract. After a disappointing period at Pau FC, the "Vietnamese Messi" could return home. Before moving to France, Quang Hai was a mainstay of the Vietnamese national team and Hanoi FC.
This adventure has taught Quang Hai many things. Perhaps, he is just a commercial contract of Pau FC. The appearance of the midfielder born in 1997 helped Pau FC's Facebook page increase from 15,000 to 340,000 followers. Besides, Quang Hai also helped Pau FC sign a few contracts.
Quang Hai will debut for Cong An Ha Noi FC after receiving an international transfer permit (ITC) from Pau FC. It is expected that by June 30, this midfielder will complete the paperwork to play for his new team.
