The world-famous symphony orchestra will participate in a special concert celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam-USA Association.

On October 16, the 80th anniversary celebration of the Vietnam-US Friendship Association (the predecessor of today's Vietnam-US Association) will be held at the Hoan Kiem Theater, Hanoi.

The program, organized by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-US Association, is expected to have the participation of representatives of the Party and State leaders, leaders of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, departments, ministries, branches, the Vietnam-US Association, research institutes, and universities.

On the US side, the event is expected to have the participation of a number of American businesses, associations, non- governmental organizations in Vietnam and a number of American organizations and individuals who are partners of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-US Association.

The ceremony is part of a series of activities celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-US diplomatic relations.

The event contributes to the State's diplomacy in consistently implementing the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation and development, multilateralization and diversification of foreign relations, affirming Vietnam's guidelines, policies and viewpoints in developing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace, cooperation and sustainable development with the US, making practical contributions to the development goals in the new era, the era of the Vietnamese nation's rise.

At the Celebration, the audience will enjoy a special concert program Connecting Vietnamese-American Melodies with the participation of famous artists from the two countries with a carefully selected repertoire.

This is a rare occasion for Vietnamese audiences to welcome the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra under the baton of international conductor Henry Cheng with the participation of pianist Maxim Lando, divo Tung Duong; artists Mikaela Ayira, Duong Duc Hai, clarinetist Tran Khanh Quang....
