On September 2, the "Mysterious Ocean" exhibition area officially opened to visitors at the Oceanographic Museum, Hon Chong Hill campus, Bac Nha Trang Ward, Khanh Hoa. The event marked a new step forward in disseminating marine knowledge to the public, while contributing to promoting scientific tourism in Nha Trang.
With a unique design divided into different depths of the ocean, from the sea surface to a depth of 6,000 m, visitors can experience the distinct difference in light conditions and pressure of each water layer. "Each layer is a piece that creates the mystery of the ocean, urging people to explore the natural world ," said Mr. Truong Si Hai Trinh, Deputy Head of the Information and Communications Department of the Institute of Oceanography, adding that the museum will open the "Mysterious Ocean" exhibition area free of charge to all visitors from September 2 to September 15, 2025.

The highlight of the exhibition area is the 3 main areas: the lighting floor recreates the "tropical forest" of the ocean with skilled hunters; the twilight & eternal darkness floor explores the biological light dance and the phenomenon of "sea snow"; the endless abyss floor - the kingdom of eternal darkness, cold and extreme pressure.
In addition, the exhibition area is also part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
