Taylor Taranto, 37, was arrested Thursday after being found near former President Obama's home. Documents show Taranto was charged with four misdemeanors in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, including disorderly conduct and disorderly conduct.

It is unclear whether the Obamas were home at the time of the arrest. The explosives squad examined Taranto’s truck and said there was no threat to the public. No one was injured in the arrest.
Taranto is a US Navy veteran and webmaster for the Republican Party in Franklin County, Washington, according to the Tri-City Herald.
Taranto entered the U.S. Capitol building and threw metal pieces at police. Records show that before leaving the building, Taranto and other rioters clashed with police officers.
On a Facebook account believed to belong to Taranto and his wife, he posted a video claiming to be inside the Capitol. Authorities said Taranto appeared in court this month with another man convicted in the riot.
More than 1,000 people have been charged with federal crimes related to the Capitol riot. More than 600 of them have pleaded guilty. More than 550 defendants have been convicted, with more than half receiving prison sentences ranging from six days to 18 years.
