In 2024, Ta Van Duyen colluded with Tran Cong Thuy to organize a drug trafficking ring from Son La to Xuan Truong district, Nam Dinh province (old) for consumption. In August 2024, when Xuan Truong district police (old) arrested Tran Cong Thuy for illegal drug trafficking, Ta Van Duyen fled the area. After a period of investigation and verification, in March 2025, the Investigation Police Agency of Ninh Binh Provincial Police issued a Decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue a special wanted notice for Ta Van Duyen for the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking".

Currently, the Ninh Binh Provincial Police Investigation Agency is continuing to investigate and handle the case according to regulations.
