Closing ceremony of the 1st Provincial Government Sports Congress, 2025

Attending the closing ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Minh Phu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Congress Organizing Committee; along with leaders of departments, branches and a large number of fans.

The 1st Provincial Government Agencies Sports Congress in 2025 is an important event, marking a new development step in the sports movement of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the area. The congress gathered more than 700 athletes from agencies in the bloc, competing in 10 sports with a total of 46 events. The competitions took place from November 27 to 30, attracting great attention from cadres, people and sports lovers.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the athlete delegations strictly followed the regulations and the Games' Charter; the spirit of honest and noble sportsmanship was demonstrated throughout the competitions. Notably, most of the delegations won medals, demonstrating the careful preparation and great efforts of each athlete and each unit. The service forces such as security, medical , logistics, referees, etc. all completed their tasks excellently, contributing to ensuring the Games took place safely, transparently and professionally.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, comrade Nguyen Minh Phu congratulated the athletes' achievements. He affirmed: The Congress is not only a healthy playground to train physical fitness and improve the spiritual life of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the Bloc, but also an activity that contributes to strengthening the spirit of solidarity, exchange and learning between units. Through the Congress, agencies have had the opportunity to exchange experiences in organizing sports movements, thereby creating a foundation for sustainable development of mass sports movements in the coming time.

He suggested that after the Congress, units continue to pay attention to investing, consolidating facilities, and training core athletes; at the same time, regularly maintain cultural and sports activities at agencies and units, thereby contributing to improving the quality of sports movements in the whole Bloc.

As a result of the Congress, the Organizing Committee awarded nearly 200 prizes in individual and team competitions. The Congress awarded 46 first prizes, 46 second prizes and 92 third prizes to athletes with outstanding achievements. In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded 3 first prizes, 3 second prizes and 3 third prizes according to each competition block. In the block of provincial People's Committee agencies, the first prize went to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the second prize went to the Provincial People's Committee Office; the third prize went to the Provincial Inspectorate. In the block of affiliated units, the Dien Bien Provincial Tax Department won the first prize, Dien Bien Telecommunications won the second prize and the Project Management Board for Migration and Resettlement of Hydropower Projects (DD&CN Project Management Board) won the third prize. In the enterprise block, Dien Bien Water Supply Joint Stock Company won the first prize, Dien Bien Electricity Company won the second prize and VietinBank Dien Bien Branch won the third prize. In the final result, the delegation of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism won the first prize. The second prize went to the delegation of the Provincial People's Committee Office and the delegation of Dien Bien Water Supply Joint Stock Company won the third prize.

The 1st Provincial Sports Congress of Government Agencies in 2025 is not only a practical activity responding to the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", but also contributes to raising awareness of units about the meaning and role of sports in the new situation. This is also an important opportunity for the Organizing Committee to select outstanding athletes with outstanding achievements to prepare forces to participate in the 12th Dien Bien Provincial Sports Congress in 2026.

With the spirit of Solidarity - Honesty - Nobility, the 1st Sports Congress of Provincial Government Agencies was a great success, leaving many deep impressions and creating a strong driving force to promote the sports movement in the whole Bloc to continue to develop in the coming time.
