Closing ceremony of the 1st Can Tho Television Cup 7-a-side Football Tournament

(CTO) - On the afternoon of June 25, the first 7-a-side football tournament for the Can Tho Television Cup 2023 ended after an exciting final match between Organic Ho Chi Minh City and Up-Capeco Sa Dec, at the Can Tho Sports Center.

Despite being underestimated, Up-Capeco players entered the match coherently and created many dangerous situations for their opponents. However, with the bravery of many good players in the squad, Organic gradually found their rhythm and put significant pressure on Up-Capeco's goal. The match was tense, quite balanced and the two teams were undecided after 2 rounds.

After a penalty shootout, Organic players won 5-4, became champions, and received a prize of 30 million VND. Up-Capeco team received a silver medal with a prize of 20 million VND. The bronze medal went to Anh Em Vinh Long team with a prize of 10 million VND; Can Tho University team received the Style prize, 5 million VND.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded the prizes for Best Player, Top Scorer and Best Coach to the Organic team; the prize for Best Goalkeeper to the Up-Capeco team, each prize worth 1 million VND.

At the closing ceremony, sponsors also presented 20 bicycles to disadvantaged students in Cai Khe ward.

The 1st Can Tho Television Cup 7-a-side Football Tournament - 2023 has the participation of 12 teams, including 6 teams from Can Tho City: SS FC, Phong Vu Construction Materials, Western Fairy Cosmetics, ADS, MT Real Estate, Honey House Hotel and 6 guest teams: Petro Ly Tan Tai Kien Giang , HBL Long Xuyen, Up-Capeco Sa Dec, Anh Em Vinh Long, Organic Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho University Team.

The tournament takes place from June 10 to June 25, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Can Tho City under the Central Government and the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023).
