After 30 minutes, the gastroenterologist removed the foreign object, a 25x5 cm dildo, from the patient's rectum. After the foreign object was removed, patient L.'s health stabilized and he was discharged the same day.

Doctor Pham Ngoc Hoan, Department of Abdominal Surgery, Military Hospital 175, warns against using any instruments to insert into the anorectal area. On the other hand, when there is a foreign object in the anus, absolutely do not use forceps or put your hand in to remove the foreign object yourself. These actions will not remove the foreign object but also increase the risk of pushing the foreign object deeper, causing damage to the rectum. For anorectal foreign objects, if not treated promptly, it can lead to the risk of intestinal obstruction, which can be life-threatening.

Doctor Hoan recommends that when a similar incident occurs, patients should quickly go to medical facilities or hospitals to receive support from medical specialists.
