On October 23, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's survey delegation led by Comrade Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, had a working session with the Thu Duc City Party Committee on preparations for the 1st Thu Duc City Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
Speaking at the orientation session, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee emphasized that, at this point, the term has almost ended and Thu Duc City has overcome many challenges, including difficult times such as the Covid-19 pandemic. He highly appreciated the Party Committee, government and people of Thu Duc City for their efforts, determination, solidarity and joint efforts to overcome the difficulties.
According to him, the whole country is preparing for the 2025-2030 term, the term in which General Secretary To Lam has directed to enter a new era, an era of national growth.
“The whole country is preparing for this spirit. To enter the new era, what provisions, conditions and other necessary requirements do we need to embark on that journey? With that mindset and spirit, as a city in Ho Chi Minh City, how should Thu Duc City go and what should it do?”, Comrade Nguyen Van Nen raised the issue and requested Thu Duc City to review and compare the targets and tasks that have been implemented since the beginning of the term to date to set out efforts and determination to complete. Along with that, discuss ways to solve and remove obstacles for the remaining targets.
With just over 2 months left to complete the 2024 tasks, comrade Nguyen Van Nen requested that Thu Duc City review and compare the tasks of the year, make efforts to complete them to contribute to the results of Ho Chi Minh City; review the implementation of Directive 35 of the Politburo.
Specifically, analyze in depth the economic results, the implementation of breakthroughs such as infrastructure, human resources, administrative reform. In particular, focus on the results of reform of administrative procedures, organization of staff, digital transformation, green transformation, especially improving administrative procedures for people, improving the quality of life of people...
At the same time, the Thu Duc City Party Committee focuses on orienting the subordinate Party committees to enter the congress with specific tasks both in the short term and in the long term. The departments and offices of Thu Duc City must clearly identify what needs to be added to their fields, point out the good and bad points, and make proposals and recommendations.
At the meeting, comrade Nguyen Van Nen reminded the delegates to re-evaluate the positive aspects of Thu Duc City after its establishment according to the project, showing the difference compared to not being established. In addition, he pointed out the objective and subjective shortcomings, proposed solutions and included them in the orientation of the Thu Duc City Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
