Binh Dinh welcomes the first visitors to Quy Nhon on a tourist train

Foreign tourists are delighted with the warm welcome from tourism industry leaders.

This is a train trip that the Provincial People's Committee in coordination with the railway industry opened for specialized operation from Ho Chi Minh City to Quy Nhon (train SE30) and vice versa (SE29) to attract tourists to Binh Dinh by train, thereby gradually exploiting and developing train tourism products to Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh.

At exactly 11:15 a.m. on January 18, the first guests arrived at Quy Nhon Station (Binh Dinh) on train SE30 (departing at 6:35 p.m. on January 17 from Saigon Station to Quy Nhon Station) and were warmly welcomed by the leaders of the Department of Tourism.

Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Kim Chung said: This is the first train from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Dinh, with about 200 passengers on board. The operation of the train from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Dinh and vice versa will contribute to attracting tourists through a new form of experience; thereby demonstrating the friendliness and hospitality of Binh Dinh people, contributing to building the image of Binh Dinh tourism as "safe, friendly, attractive", attracting more and more domestic and international tourists to Binh Dinh."

Binh Dinh tourism industry is developing typical products, promoting communication, supporting information for tourists coming to Binh Dinh by train in the coming time; coordinating promotion on trains, meeting the needs and creating a good impression of a safe, friendly, attractive destination when tourists come to Binh Dinh and Quy Nhon city "ASEAN Clean Tourist City" - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Kim Chung shared more.

Mr. Le Quang Vinh, Director of Phu Khanh Railway Exploitation Branch, said that although it has just been put into operation, it is expected that the SE30 train from now until the end of January 2025 will bring nearly 4,500 passengers to Binh Dinh. This is a specialized train, bringing passengers from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Dinh with a suitable time and reasonable price for domestic and foreign tourists.

Binh Dinh has a convenient transportation advantage when located in the center of the North-South axis on all three routes: road, rail and air. Regarding railway, Binh Dinh has Dieu Tri Station and Quy Nhon Station, two stations that are exploited for passenger transport in the Vietnam railway system; in which Dieu Tri Station is one of the major train stations in the Central region, receiving dozens of trains, with a large number of passengers getting on and off the train every day.

The Saigon - Quy Nhon train and vice versa (SE30, SE29) departs from Saigon Station at 18:35, is expected to bring passengers to Dieu Tri Station at 10:25, Quy Nhon Station at 10:55 and departs from Quy Nhon Station at 14:05, Dieu Tri Station at 14:30 and arrives at Saigon Station at 5:40 every day.

According to the leader of Binh Dinh Department of Tourism, in 2025, Binh Dinh tourism industry strives to welcome 10 million visitors. Therefore, it is very necessary to build and diversify tourism products to attract visitors to the province by different means of transportation to Binh Dinh such as train, creating unique characteristics of the province, especially visitors from Ho Chi Minh City and provinces in the Central region with the North-South railway passing through such as: Quang Binh, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam , Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, Khanh Hoa ...
