During the 2 days, from May 17 to 18, the trainees were updated by lecturers and reporters on the following topics: The Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on environmental protection and climate change response; Vietnam's circular economy in the new era; current management of domestic solid waste in Vietnam; the impact of climate change on the socio-economic development of Binh Phuoc province and risk identification skills.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Anh Tuyet, Deputy Director of the Department of Science Management, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics emphasized: The goal of the training course is to update knowledge on the Party's guidelines, policies, laws, and programs of the State on environmental protection, climate change response, towards sustainable development; raise awareness, leadership skills, management, environmental governance and climate change response at localities and agencies in the province. In addition, update knowledge, share information on the current status of environmental protection, climate change response in Vietnam and some localities nationwide; on the impact of environmental pollution and climate change on people's livelihoods.

The training course will be a forum for cadres, civil servants, lecturers, natural resources officers, and grassroots leaders to meet, exchange, discuss, and share their roles and responsibilities in environmental protection and climate change response, as well as share experiences, difficulties, problems, and solutions in environmental protection and climate change response in localities.
