Union member Nguyen Thi Huyen is in a very difficult situation. She is a single mother, raising two young children. Her monthly income is 7 million VND, to have money to support her family, she has to work extra on weekends. Previously, the three of them lived with their grandmother in a dilapidated house.
Union member Dong Thi Thuy Duong is also a single mother, suffering from many illnesses and requiring regular treatment; her child and father have cancer and require very expensive treatment. With an income of about 10 million VND/month, she cannot cover her family's living expenses and medical treatment.

Understanding the difficult circumstances of union members, the grassroots unions have proposed that the higher-level unions support funding to build "Union Shelters" for union members Nguyen Thi Huyen and Dong Thi Thuy Duong. Accordingly, the Hanoi City Labor Federation has supported union members Nguyen Thi Huyen - Bach Ha Kindergarten Union and union members Dong Thi Thuy Duong - Nam Trieu Primary School Union with 40 million VND each to build "Union Shelters". With the support of the union organization, the school, colleagues and relatives, the union members have been motivated to build a spacious and solid house for their families. Up to now, the 2 "Union Shelters" of union members Nguyen Thi Huyen and Dong Thi Thuy Duong have been completed and put into use.
Speaking at the program, Vice President of Hanoi City Labor Federation Nguyen Huy Khanh shared the difficulties of union members; at the same time, highly appreciated the Phu Xuyen District Labor Union at all levels for promptly grasping the thoughts, aspirations, and circumstances of union members and workers; organizing the review and proposing cases with difficult housing circumstances so that the City Labor Federation can support the construction of "Union Shelters", ensuring the right subjects.

Vice President of the Hanoi City Labor Federation Nguyen Huy Khanh said that the resources to implement the "Union Shelter" support program come from contributions from union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers in the capital with the desire to further motivate union members with difficult housing circumstances to be determined to build a house for themselves to "settle down".
At the program, Vice President of Hanoi City Labor Federation Nguyen Huy Khanh presented funds to support the construction of "Union Shelter" and a gift in kind to union members; Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Xuyen district, Phu Xuyen District Labor Federation, local Party committees, authorities and schools also presented meaningful gifts to union members.
