Nearly 240,000 Lao Cai students enter summer vacation after May 31

Summer vacation will be a useful time for students to participate in extracurricular activities, have fun, and practice life skills.

The Departmentof Education and Training has directed local education and training departments and high schools under the Department to conduct initial enrollment in preparation for the new school year. As for grade 9 and grade 12 students, the school year will end before May 18. After the end of the school year, grade 9 and grade 12 students will review under the guidance of teachers and study on their own to prepare for the entrance exam to grade 10 high school (for grade 9 students, taking place from June 3 to 6) and the high school graduation exam (for grade 12 students, taking place from June 25 to 28).

Summer vacation will be implemented according to the above schedule until the end of August, when the Department of Education and Training announces the time to return to school to prepare for the new school year.

Currently, schools are summarizing and evaluating students at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.

During this time, schools will complete documents, support students in transferring to higher education levels for senior students, receive and process applications for transfer to and from schools according to regulations.

Schools also take advantage of the summer break to renovate and repair classrooms, train and develop teachers according to plan. In particular, during the summer break, the education sector will focus on implementing the policy of arranging educational facilities according to the 2-level local government model, merging Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces.

Currently, educational institutions in the province are summarizing the 2024-2025 school year.
