More than 61.5 million comments on the draft amendments and supplements to the 2013 Constitution

On the afternoon of May 22, at the National Assembly House, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man , Chairman of the Committee for Drafting Amendments and Supplements to a Number of Articles of the 2013 Constitution (Committee) chaired the second plenary session of the Committee.

Speaking at the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man commented that since the first plenary session (afternoon of May 5, 2025), members of the Committee, the standing body and relevant agencies have urgently deployed tasks, ensuring progress, quality and requirements. After more than half a month of implementing the work of collecting public opinions, the work has been deployed in the right direction, on schedule and according to plan, initially showing that the deputies agree and the people agree and highly support this policy.

According to the report of the Ministry of Public Security, as of 6:00 p.m. on May 21, 2025, 9,015,569 citizens had contributed opinions on the VNeID application with a total of 61,539,088 comments, of which 61,510,670 were in favor (accounting for 99.95%) and 28,418 comments made specific suggestions on each content (accounting for 0.05%).

At the parliament, on May 7 and 14, the National Assembly discussed in groups and halls to give initial opinions on the draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution. There were 131 opinions expressed, demonstrating great enthusiasm, responsibility and constructive spirit.

At the meeting, after listening to the reports, the Committee gave initial opinions on preparing a plan to receive and revise the draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution.
