Workshop on the Project "Internationalization of Vietnamese Culture and Vietnamization of International Culture"

Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung chaired the conference. The conference was organized in both direct and online formats, connecting to 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

Implementing the direction of the Politburo and the Government Party Committee, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has developed the Project "Internationalization of Vietnamese culture and Vietnamization of international culture". The project aims to affirm and promote the role and contribution of the internationalization of Vietnamese culture and Vietnamization of international culture, so that culture can truly become a source of breakthrough impetus, contributing increasingly deeply and effectively to the development of the country in the new era.

The project includes 6 main parts: basis for project development; context, opportunities and challenges; viewpoints, goals and tasks of internationalizing Vietnamese culture and Vietnamizing international culture until 2035 and vision to 2024; solutions; implementation organization.

At the workshop, delegates discussed many important contents such as: orientation for the development of Vietnamese culture and arts in the new era of the nation; the Party's policies and guidelines and some orientations on the development of the internationalization of Vietnamese culture and the Vietnamization of international culture; the role of culture, cultural and creative industries as a driving force for the country's sustainable development...

Speaking at the workshop, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that the development and implementation of the project has strategic significance in enhancing the position of Vietnamese culture in the international arena; at the same time, receiving and selecting the quintessence of human culture, contributing to enriching the national cultural identity in the process of deep international integration.

The workshop recorded all the contributions and opinions of the representatives of the leaders of the Ministries, Departments, branches and localities. This will be an important practical, scientific and legal basis in promoting the development of Vietnamese culture and bringing Vietnamese culture abroad as well as selectively absorbing the quintessence of world culture into Vietnam in the period of deep integration of international culture and international cooperation.
