Ba Dinh District: 6,178 units of blood donated

On the morning of May 22, the Ba Dinh District Red Cross Association summarized the voluntary blood donation movement and Red Cross work in the first 6 months of 2025.

Reporting at the conference, President of the Ba Dinh District Red Cross Society Tran Thi Van Anh said that since the beginning of 2025, the entire district has provided social relief to nearly 6,000 people with a total amount of more than 3 billion VND. The district has also promoted health care for the people with activities such as free medical examination and medicine, free meals, etc. for more than 2,800 people with a total value of 90 million VND.

Responding to Humanitarian Month 2025 with the theme "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love", the Red Cross Associations at all levels in the district mobilized social resources to implement many practical activities to help people in difficult circumstances such as building new houses, repairing houses, granting scholarships, and providing emergency relief with a total value of 661 million VND.

Regarding the voluntary blood donation movement, the Ba Dinh District Red Cross has carried out many specific and practical activities, creating positive changes in the awareness of all classes of people. Since then, the movement has attracted many people of different ages and positions to participate.

As a result, in the first 5 months of 2025, the entire Ba Dinh district organized 16 blood donation sessions, receiving 6,178 units of blood, reaching 275% of the city's target and 180% of the district's target.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairwoman of Ba Dinh District People's Committee Pham Thi Diem highly appreciated the voluntary blood donation and humanitarian work of the district Red Cross Association at all levels in recent times.

“After the administrative arrangement, no matter how the new administrative apparatus and structure are organized, voluntary blood donation, humanitarian work, and Red Cross will still be given attention and facilitated by the Party Committees, authorities, and organizations of the new wards; social security work will continue to be strengthened...”, the Vice Chairman of the Ba Dinh District People's Committee emphasized.

Ms. Pham Thi Diem hopes to always receive the attention of the City Red Cross Association so that the Red Cross organizations of the 3 new wards can operate effectively, continuing to promote the tradition of mutual love and support of the people in the area.
