Faced with that situation, Nhon Mai Border Guard Station coordinated with local authorities to urgently evacuate 19 households in Xoi Voi village, an area at high risk of landslides, to a safe place.

On the morning of July 22, heavy rain continued to occur in the area. The unit mobilized the maximum number of troops and vehicles to be on standby 24/7 to be ready to respond to any emergency situations. At the same time, it provided food, supplies, and drinking water to the evacuated households.



Currently, on National Highway 16, the section passing through Nhon Mai commune has 5 local landslides. Nhon Mai Border Guard Station has put up warning signs, not allowing people to pass through the dangerous area.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thuong - Political Commissar of Nhon Mai Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard Command: in addition to 19 households in Xoi Voi village that have been evacuated, the unit is continuing to coordinate with local authorities and functional forces to organize the evacuation of 1 more household in Co Ha village, which is also at high risk of landslides. We will continue to closely monitor the weather and terrain and prepare evacuation plans to ensure the safety of people's lives and property in all situations.
