The dispatch stated that during the 2025 high school graduation exam, the Northern region is forecast to have intermittent sunshine, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening; the Central region is forecast to have sunny weather, hot in some places, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening; the Central Highlands and Southern regions are forecast to have sunny weather, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
These developments pose many risks and could directly affect the preparation and organization of the 2025 exam.
To proactively respond to floods, minimize damage to people and property, and ensure the safe and serious organization of the exam, the Minister of Education and Training requested the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2025 exam to direct relevant units to proactively monitor and update weather information.
Specifically, regularly and closely monitor the developments of floods, thunderstorms, storms and other extreme weather conditions from hydro-meteorological forecast bulletins of the National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting and local authorities; maintain regular contact with the Command Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue at all levels, authorities and local rescue forces to promptly respond in case of incidents.
Along with that, review, develop and deploy plans to ensure exam safety with the 4-on-the-spot motto (on-the-spot command, on-the-spot logistics, on-the-spot means, on-the-spot forces).
Regarding facilities, localities urgently review, inspect, and reinforce facilities at examination sites, examination rooms, electricity, water, and drainage systems to ensure safety and sufficient conditions for organizing exams in all weather conditions (heavy rain, hot sun).
Regarding relocation and contingency plans, it is necessary to develop contingency plans to move files, documents, machinery, and equipment to safe places to avoid damage due to flooding and landslides. At the same time, prepare backup exam locations and exam rooms in case the main exam location is affected by natural disasters.
Regarding the preservation of exam papers and test papers, it is necessary to ensure absolute safety in the transportation and preservation of exam papers and test papers before, during and after the exam; avoid damage due to heavy rain, heat, fire and explosion.
The 2025 high school graduation exam will be held on June 25, 26, and 27. June 25 will be used for exam registration procedures; June 26 and 27 will be used for exam supervision; and June 28 will be used as a backup.
The Ministry of Education and Training also requested to ensure the safety of officials and candidates, establish information channels with parents and students to manage, guide and support candidates to move to the exam site safely, minimizing risks due to natural disasters. Localities have plans and solutions to support food and accommodation near the exam site for officials and candidates who live far away and have needs, especially officials and candidates who have to cross rivers, streams, ferries, roads at risk of flooding, landslides, etc. so that everyone can get to the exam site and take the exam safely.
