The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs proposed allocating more than 427 billion VND to give gifts to nearly 1.4 million people with revolutionary contributions.

On the afternoon of May 23, the Office of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs informed that Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung had just signed Document No. 22 reporting to the Prime Minister on submittingto the President to give gifts to people with revolutionary contributions on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.

Representatives of the Military Command of Bac Giang province and the Women's Union of Bac Giang province visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thoi.

According to the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, there are two gift levels including 600,000 VND and 300,000 VND for nearly 1.4 million people with revolutionary contributions with an amount of more than 427 billion VND.

Of which, 600,000 VND is for those who have contributed to the revolution (Vietnamese Heroic Mothers who are receiving monthly preferential allowances and individuals who have been awarded the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother before July 28 but have not completed the procedures to receive monthly preferential allowances; war invalids, people receiving policies like war invalids, war invalids of type B, sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 81% or more who are receiving monthly preferential allowances; resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals with a body injury rate of 81% or more who are receiving monthly preferential allowances) and relatives of martyrs who are receiving monthly nursing allowances; relatives of two or more martyrs who are receiving monthly pensions.

The gift level of 300,000 VND is for people with revolutionary contributions (war invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids, war invalids of type B, sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 80% or less who are receiving monthly preferential allowances; war invalids receiving a labor loss regime; resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals with a body injury rate of 80% or less who are receiving monthly preferential allowances) and representatives of martyrs' relatives, people worshiping martyrs (in case the martyrs have no relatives).

According to Minister Dao Ngoc Dung, every year, on the occasion of Lunar New Year and the anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), the Prime Minister authorizes the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to submit to the President a decision to give gifts to people with revolutionary contributions.
