At the reception, on behalf of the Ministry's leaders, Minister Dang Quoc Khanh said that the Vietnamese Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment always wishes to cooperate and support Laos, considering this a strategic task; constantly improving the quality of cooperation in the field of natural resources and environment, striving together for the cooperation achievements to be increasingly commensurate with the stature of the special Vietnam-Laos relationship, as well as the expectations of the leaders of the Party, Government and people of the two countries.

Minister Dang Quoc Khanh said that the Vietnamese Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment always wishes to cooperate and support Laos, considering this a strategic task.

Through a quick report on the working trip of the Lao Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment delegation to units of the Vietnamese Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Minister Dang Quoc Khanh said that both sides wish to promote cooperation in various fields in a more comprehensive and substantive manner in the coming time.

Minister Dang Quoc Khanh informed that Vietnam has recently made a strong commitment at COP26 to achieve net zero emissions by 2050; establish a Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) with international partners; build forest carbon credits to promote the development of a green economy , which is an advantage for Laos because of its large forest coverage area... Therefore, Minister Dang Quoc Khanh said that the Vietnamese Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is ready to coordinate and share with Laos in the fields of land management, nature conservation and transboundary pollution management, climate change response (specifically carbon market development), circular economy development, mineral exploration, training and development of strategic policies such as the Land Law, Water Resources Law, Geology and Minerals Law...

In addition, Vietnam is also willing to support Laos in developing its economy towards the sea through the Vietnamese gateway by implementing regional and international cooperation projects...
