Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra and leaders of the Ministry of Home Affairs presented flowers to congratulate the National Academy of Public Administration on the occasion of the opening of the new school year 2024-2025.

On the side of the National Academy of Public Administration, there were Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, Party Committee Secretary, Director of the Academy; Vice Directors of the Academy: Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong, Lai Duc Vuong; comrades in the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Academy; heads of Party organizations and unions of the Academy; leaders of units under and directly under the Academy; former Directors and Deputy Directors of the Academy in different periods; representatives of the Association of Former Teachers; members of the Academy's Science and Training Council; officials and employees of the Academy in Hanoi and all students of all courses studying in Hanoi.

Welcoming more than 3,000 new students studying and researching at the Academy to attend the Opening Ceremony of the new school year 2024 - 2025, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, Director of the National Academy of Public Administration, said that the 2024-2025 school year is a year of innovation and creativity, the first year the Academy implements the Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045; at the same time, it is also the final year to implement the targets of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, the Resolution of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Resolution of the Party Committee of the Academy.

The Academy's development strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045, is not only an aspiration but also an expectation of the Government, the Ministry of Home Affairs, agencies, organizations and society with the Academy as a prestigious national center for training and fostering. The philosophy of knowledge creation, innovation, national responsibility with the core value orientation of intelligence, quality, and modernity is a reminder and an urge for lecturers, students and trainees of the Academy.

Director of the Academy Nguyen Ba Chien also emphasized that in the new school year 2024 - 2025, the National Academy of Public Administration needs to focus on and be determined to affirm its identity and brand as a prestigious national center for training and fostering domestically and internationally.

In addition, each lecturer of the Academy needs to constantly improve his/her knowledge and know how to renew himself/herself. Each lecturer's lecture must be truly vivid and profound scientific knowledge in a world full of information and data. Each lecturer is not only a person who imparts knowledge but also a person who guides, connects, suggests, nurtures, and cares for the innovative and creative ideas of students.

The Director of the Academy hopes that the Academy's students will always strive to study and practice to know, to understand, to work, to live together and integrate with the country, to live with love, to share and to be responsible; to promote the spirit and youthfulness to study well, practice well, be passionate about learning, and always carry within themselves the aspiration for great and beautiful things.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien sincerely thanks the Party Committee of the Ministry and the Minister of Home Affairs for their attention and support to the Academy. In particular, the Director of the Academy would like to thank the teachers, staff, workers, students and pupils of the entire Academy for connecting into a concentric circle, creating a great strength for the Academy to overcome all difficulties and achieve promising results.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra acknowledged and commended the efforts and achievements of the collective of civil servants, public employees, lecturers, students and pupils of the National Academy of Public Administration in the past year.

The Minister affirmed that the National Academy of Public Administration has continuously promoted its glorious historical tradition of 65 years of establishment and development to have a unique position in the education and training system. This is a special-class public service unit with very important responsibilities assigned by the Party, the State and the Ministry of Home Affairs, which are: Training human resources for the public and social sector; training and fostering cadres, civil servants and public employees; conducting in-depth scientific research on national governance and state administration. This task is very heavy, challenging but also very glorious.

Therefore, in the coming time, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra suggested that the Academy should focus on performing well the following basic tasks:

Firstly , the National Academy of Public Administration needs to have great aspirations and great faith in future development. The Academy's development aspirations need to blend with the nation's great aspirations. The important thing is that the Academy's development aspirations need to permeate and be constantly present in the minds of every cadre, lecturer, employee, and student of the Academy.

In the development orientation for the next 5, 10, and 20 years, the National Academy of Public Administration needs to clearly identify practical, existing, and specific effective contributions in implementing the socio-economic development strategy, in the education, training, science, and technology career of the country, in the strategy of building and perfecting the socialist rule-of-law state of Vietnam in the new period, in building a clean, strong political system, and in overall national development.

Second , with a deep awareness of its responsibility and mission towards the Party, the State and society, the Academy needs to ensure the harmonious development of the ecosystem with three pillars: Training cadres, civil servants and public employees; training high-quality human resources and scientific research. The values of sustainable development, smart development, and national development vision need to be reflected in the educational philosophy, in the training and fostering content, imbued in each lecture, and in the scientific research orientations at the Academy. It cannot be slower, the Academy also needs to think fully to create a green development space, smart development with a synchronous, complete and modern infrastructure system; carry out strong digital transformation to comprehensively innovate the methods of governance, operation, training and fostering, creative methods, knowledge transfer, creating the necessary foundation to form a digital Academy, a smart Academy in the near future.

Third , take care of building and developing the staff and employees of the Academy to be equal to their tasks. The staff and employees are truly the center, the subject, the most important resource and the goal of the development of the Academy. Investing in developing the staff is investing in the development of the Academy in the present and the future.

The Academy needs to have a roadmap, plan and allocate necessary investment resources for the development of the team of lecturers and staff, build a highly motivated environment to nurture talent, and at the same time promote the team of lecturers and staff to be self-reliant and independent to meet the requirements of the Academy. In addition, the Academy needs to pay special attention to the work of attracting, using and promoting talents, creating a strong change in innovation capacity.

Fourth , preserve and promote good cultural values at the Academy. The Academy needs to arouse pride in its long tradition, build the Academy's identity with culture as the foundation, take a beautiful and useful lifestyle to identify the connection of all hearts for a good life and the development of the Academy. That identity needs to be spread, becoming a value orientation in every behavior, every action of the staff, lecturers, workers, students at the Academy.
