The Food Safety Department warns consumers not to buy or use weight loss products containing banned substances.

According to the Food Safety Department, the banned substances detected in the product were Sibutramine with a content of 6.67 mg/g (3.04 mg/g) and Phenolphthalein at 6.89 mg/g (3.13 mg/tablet).

The Food Safety Department recommends that people who discover this product circulating on the market should immediately notify the authorities for handling according to the provisions of law.

Tigi Max Plus is a fast weight loss pill that helps eliminate excess fat quickly.

It is known that Sibutramine has the ability to reduce appetite and support the weight loss process, but it has harmful side effects such as causing insomnia, increasing blood pressure and the risk of cardiovascular disease. Therefore, since October 2010, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a decision to ban the circulation of all products containing Sibutramine.

In Vietnam, the Drug Administration of Vietnam ( Ministry of Health ) has stopped granting import licenses for Sibutramine and recalled products containing this substance.

Phenolphthalein or phenoltalein is a chemical that exists in liquid form (odorless, transparent, denser than water) or powder form (white).

Phenolphthalein was used as a laxative for over a century, but has now been removed from over-the-counter laxatives due to concerns about its carcinogenic potential.

Phenolphthalein has been banned from circulation by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) since 1999. This substance has many toxicities and side effects. Using it in weight loss foods can seriously affect the digestive system, cardiovascular system, and liver of users, especially stroke and myocardial infarction, so both the US and Europe have stopped using it for many years now.
