1. Coffee contains a lot of sugar, milk, and cream.
Drinking coffee in the morning helps you stay awake, adds excitement to your work and can bring many health benefits due to the antioxidants it contains.
However, many people have the habit of adding milk, sugar or cream to their coffee, making this drink have a huge amount of calories and sugar, which is not ideal for health and body shape.
“These drinks are high in sugar and fat, and also high in calories. They are also easy to overconsume and tend to become a habit over time,” says health coach and weight loss expert Malia Frey.
The habit of drinking milk coffee, salted coffee... makes you take in a lot of calories and sugar.
2. Packaged cakes and biscuits
Dr. Rasoul Montazeri said that packaged cakes and cookies are sold with beautiful, attractive packaging that makes you want to buy them even when they are not really necessary.
If you are aiming to lose weight or improve your figure, doctors advise that it is best to skip the area selling this type of item every time you go to the supermarket or grocery store.
"They contain a lot of refined flour and trans fats, which promote belly fat storage," the doctor explains, the main reason why you should limit this dish.
3. Processed meat
"Processed meats not only increase the risk of cancer but also contain a lot of saturated fat and calories," expert Malia Frey commented about sausages, smoked meats, salami, jampon...
She added that there are many good sources of protein such as chicken, beef... so prioritize consuming them in their original form, which is both fresh and rich in nutritional value. Consuming processed foods high in sodium can easily cause water retention and edema.
Processed meats such as sausages, cold cuts, salami, bacon... often contain a lot of saturated fat, salt and preservatives, all of which can contribute to weight gain and fat accumulation, especially visceral fat.
4. Frozen meals
Frozen meals are quite convenient on busy days when you don’t have enough time to cook. However, this is not the type of meal that is recommended for daily consumption.
Even though many brands advertise their products as healthy and low in calories, they still contain some less than ideal ingredients and lose nutritional value due to not being in their freshest state.
“While these meals are portion-controlled and low in calories, they are often high in sodium, sugar, and other unhealthy ingredients. They can also increase your dependence on processed foods, leading to obesity and health problems,” Frey explains.
Experts recommend trying to arrange time to prepare nutritionally balanced meals at home with original, fresh, nutritious ingredients.
She said: "By choosing your own ingredients and cooking at home, you will enjoy fresher, more nutritious food while controlling calories and reducing unnecessary spices."
