According to the announcement of Gia Lai Provincial Department of Finance on September 29, in September 2025 alone, Gia Lai attracted seven new projects with a total registered capital of more than VND 3,590 billion, and at the same time adjusted five projects, adding capital of more than VND 1,700 billion.
These positive changes are a continuation of a series of spectacular breakthroughs since the beginning of the year, for Gia Lai's socio -economic structure.
Also according to the Gia Lai Department of Finance, in the first nine months of 2025, the province attracted 144 projects with a total registered capital of more than VND 78,000 billion, including 130 domestic projects (more than VND 42,500 billion) and 14 FDI projects (more than VND 35,400 billion). Specifically, there are 66 industrial projects; 40 agriculture-forestry-fishery projects; 20 construction-infrastructure projects; 17 trade, service- tourism projects and one real estate and urban economic project.
On the other hand, since the beginning of the year, Gia Lai has adjusted 142 projects with an additional capital of more than VND6,500 billion, and at the same time revoked and terminated the operation of five projects, paving the way for 16 new projects with a total capital of more than VND1,000 billion waiting to be approved by the Provincial People's Committee.
Also in September, the province granted registration certificates to 215 newly established enterprises, with a total capital of more than VND2,400 billion. Meanwhile, the province also recorded 40 enterprises temporarily suspending operations, 40 enterprises dissolving and 34 enterprises returning to business. In total, from the beginning of the year to September 25, Gia Lai has granted registration certificates to 2,376 newly established enterprises, with a total registered capital of more than VND17,600 billion.
This is obviously an impressive breakthrough, a convergence and explosion of resources, closely related to the process of merging and rearranging administrative units across the country in particular and with Gia Lai in general - now including the old Binh Dinh province, with a 134 km long coastline, possessing beaches with great potential for tourism development.
In another notable development, one month after the Gia Lai Investment Promotion Conference 2025 ended, among the 42 projects signed investment cooperation memorandums, 12 enterprises have submitted written reports on the implementation status of specific projects. In addition, according to the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Finance, the department has reported on the results of investment policy appraisal for eight key projects. Notably, the Hon Trau Wind Power Plant project - Phase 1 of PNE Group (Germany) in the communes of Phu My Dong, Phu My Bac, Phu My Tay, Binh Duong, Ngo May, Cat Tien, Tuy Phuoc Dong and Quy Nhon Dong ward. This project is one of the important springboards to enhance the province's energy autonomy, thereby creating a comprehensive boost for both economic development, production and serving people's lives.
Not only that, Gia Lai is also rushing to complete procedures to start construction of inter-level boarding schools in seven border communes this year, with the goal of inaugurating them before the next school year. After the merger, the western land border area of Gia Lai province has seven communes with 21 primary and secondary schools. However, most of the schools do not have boarding and semi-boarding conditions; facilities are still lacking, and teachers' accommodation is degraded. Of the total 9,482 students, up to 54.65% are children of ethnic minorities. Therefore, the province considers this an important and urgent political task to create favorable conditions for studying and living, contributing to improving people's knowledge and developing human resources in the locality, while contributing to protecting border security and order, protecting the Fatherland from early on, from afar against complex and unpredictable risks in the new context.
Concentrating financial resources, creating investment opportunities, and quickly completing infrastructure and ensuring social security, Gia Lai has been truly accelerating on the road to the future.
