At the training session, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Anh, with his in-depth experience, brought a lot of updated, practical and highly applicable knowledge in clinical treatment: updating essential knowledge on clinical pharmacology of Corticoid groups, helping doctors understand the characteristics, effectiveness and indications of each type. The lecture focused on practical situations of applying Corticoid such as: treating anaphylactic shock, treating inflammatory - immune diseases, acute pharyngitis, pneumonia or acute COPD... Unwanted effects of Corticoid, especially risks related to metabolism and endocrine. Thereby, helping doctors grasp the principles of monitoring, tracking and optimizing dosage depending on each clinical situation, ensuring safe - effective - reasonable use of drugs.

In the topic of selecting and using antibiotics appropriately in community-acquired respiratory infections, experts shared the current status of antibiotic resistance in Vietnam, thereby guiding the selection of appropriate antibiotics according to WHO classification. Students were also guided in stratifying the risk of multi-resistant bacterial infection and choosing appropriate treatment regimens for common diseases such as community-acquired pneumonia, otitis media, sinusitis, or acute COPD exacerbations.
Through the training course, doctors, nurses and pharmacists have enhanced their knowledge and skills in treating common respiratory diseases, improved the quality of prescriptions, reduced the risk of drug resistance; ensured patient safety when using Corticoids and antibiotics, and contributed to building a safe and effective treatment environment at medical facilities.
