Ca Mau responds to National Digital Transformation Day 2025 with the theme "Faster, more efficient, closer to the people"

On October 9, in response to the National Digital Transformation Day 2025, the Provincial People's Committee organized a welcoming event with the theme "Faster, more effective digital transformation, closer to the people", demonstrating the province's determination to make science, technology, innovation and digital transformation an important driving force to promote rapid and sustainable development. Attending the event were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu affirmed that digital transformation is not only a story of technology but also a story of the whole society. Every citizen can see the practical benefits of digital transformation through familiar actions such as electronic payment, online shopping or using public services on the internet. Digital transformation not only brings convenience to life but also opens up great opportunities for businesses to improve their competitiveness and quickly adapt to market changes.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu emphasized that digital transformation is an inevitable trend of the times, requiring the synchronous participation of the entire political system, businesses and people; at the same time, calling for promoting the spirit of initiative and creativity, turning challenges into opportunities, and maximizing the potential of technology to build Ca Mau to develop quickly and sustainably in the digital age.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan emphasized that Ca Mau identified science , technology, innovation and digital transformation as one of three strategic breakthroughs, with the motto of taking people and businesses as the center, aiming for real digital transformation, close to people, serving people's lives and sustainable development.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan requested departments, branches and localities to step up propaganda work, raise awareness, and clearly see the benefits of digital transformation. At the same time, focus on overcoming bottlenecks in four limited pillars including: Technical infrastructure, database, human resources and mechanisms - policies. The province will increase the application of digital technology in management, operation, production - business, organize many training courses, foster digital transformation skills for officials, civil servants and enterprises; promote cooperation, association, build and replicate effective digital transformation models; at the same time, ensure network safety and security and improve terminal infrastructure so that people and businesses can easily access and enjoy technological utilities.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan hopes that the entire political system, business community and people will join hands and accompany the province's digital transformation work to go into depth, be substantive and bring practical results in the coming time.

At the event, delegates exchanged and shared experiences and digital transformation skills, contributing to raising public awareness and promoting people and businesses to actively apply digital technology in life, production and business.

In particular, at the event, the launching ceremony of the Ca Mau Province Digital Transformation Association, term I, 2025 - 2030, including 15 Executive Committee members and 03 Inspection Committee members, took place. The Ca Mau Province Digital Transformation Association, term I, is chaired by Mr. Huynh Tuan Anh.

Director of the Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Phuong Bac awarded first prize in the contest "Learning about science, technology, innovation and digital transformation" to contestant Hua Thanh Vu (Provincial Police).

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the Contest "Learning about science, technology, innovation and digital transformation" awarded 12 prizes to candidates with outstanding achievements; in which, candidate Hua Thanh Vu (Provincial Police) won the First Prize.
