
According to statistics and initial reports from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of U Minh district, 6 houses were completely collapsed; 12 houses had their roofs blown off; 2 fishing boats sank. Currently, Khanh Tien Border Guard Station and related units are searching for survivors, but the damage has not been determined.

To promptly encourage people affected by natural disasters, the People's Committee of U Minh district together with the district's branches and organizations established a delegation to visit and support households whose houses collapsed with 3 million VND, and households whose roofs were completely damaged with 2 million VND, from the district's social security fund.
The leaders of U Minh district requested the local government to pay attention to mobilizing more resources to promptly support families to quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters and stabilize their lives. The commune grasps the situation and reports to the district to have timely support measures to help people overcome the consequences as soon as possible.
