Ca Mau shines with 3 honored initiatives.

The Ca Mau Provincial Labor Union delegation recently made a significant mark at the 2025 National Creative Labor Festival by presenting three outstanding projects in three fields: production, education, and applied technology. With these remarkable achievements, the delegation was honored with one commendation from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and two Certificates of Creative Innovation from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The event, held on August 15th at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Culture Palace and organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , brought together more than 450 trade union officials, members, and workers from 80 units nationwide.

Two initiatives received the Certificate of Creative Innovation from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor: the model " Raising and fattening two-shelled and molting crabs in a recirculating system" by lecturer Nguyen Viet Bac ( Ca Mau Community College) and the initiative by teacher Le Cong Nha (Phan Ngoc Hien Specialized High School) with a model integrating four basic physics experiments : "Free fall, Simple pendulum, Motion on an inclined plane and a horizontal plane".

The delegation from the Provincial Labor Union participated in the 2025 National Creative Labor Festival organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor with 3 initiatives, and all 3 were honored with recognition.

Reportedly, based on practical experience in crab farming in the Ca Mau region, lecturer Nguyen Viet Bac (Ca Mau Community College) developed a model of "Fattening two-shelled and molting crabs in a recirculating system". Using sensors to monitor temperature and salinity in closed breeding tanks, the model helps achieve a survival rate of over 85%, shortens the farming time to 10-45 days, and significantly increases profits. This is considered a sustainable approach, opening up opportunities for exporting high-quality crabs from Ca Mau.

Teacher Le Cong Nha's initiative (Phan Ngoc Hien Specialized High School) is a model that integrates four basic physics experiments into a single device. By combining infrared sensors and an Arduino microcontroller, the device helps students visualize knowledge and stimulates creative thinking. Costing only 450,000-750,000 VND per set, it is easily scalable and aligns with the STEM education approach.

Mr. Do Van Chien, Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Party Group, and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, presented a certificate of commendation from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for outstanding initiatives. Particularly in the field of applied technology, the initiative of teacher Ly Hoai Thanh (Huynh Phi Hung High School, Tran Van Thoi District) is the invention of a "multi-functional circuit breaker that automatically monitors high-power electricity consumption via a mobile phone application." The device connects to Wi-Fi, allowing users to monitor, schedule on/off times, and automatically shut off in case of overload. This useful solution provides safety and savings for households and small production facilities.

With this initiative, Mr. Ly Hoai Thanh was honored to receive a certificate of commendation from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for his outstanding initiative.

Mr. Huynh Van Dam, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Affairs Committee of the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor, shared: “Although the three initiatives are in three different fields, they all stem from practical needs and are linked to modern technology. This is proof of the creative and innovative spirit of Ca Mau workers in the era of digital transformation.”
