On the morning of April 5, the Executive Committee of the Vung Tau City Party Committee, term VII, 2020 - 2025, held the 30th (expanded) conference to assess the implementation of socio -economic, national defense - security, and Party building tasks in the first quarter of 2024.

In the first quarter of 2024, Vung Tau City's socio-economic indicators continued to grow compared to the same period in 2023. The industrial production value is estimated at VND 10,093 billion, up 7.52% over the same period. Total retail sales of goods are estimated at VND 10,717 billion, up 3.26% over the same period.

The number of visitors to the city for sightseeing and relaxation increased sharply, with about 685 thousand overnight guests, an increase of 19.96% over the same period. Total budget revenue is estimated at more than 1,373 billion VND, reaching 31.3% compared to the estimate assigned by the province.

Regarding the implementation of social security policies, the city has allocated 49.8 billion VND from the budget to take care of Tet for the people. Administrative reform continues to be promoted. In the first quarter, the city received more than 10,000 administrative procedure files, with the on-time settlement rate reaching 99.5%.

Some key solutions and tasks for socio-economic development in the second quarter of 2024 of the city: focus on calling for investment, organizing large-scale cultural and economic events to stimulate tourism ; strengthen State management of business, trade, service and tourism activities; focus on inspecting, controlling and managing the operations of hotels, motels, restaurants, homestay accommodation types, food and beverage establishments... Units and localities focus on cleaning beaches and public entertainment venues to serve people and tourists on the occasion of April 30, May 1 and Hung Kings' death anniversary.

Along with that, Vung Tau City also focuses on effectively implementing compensation, site clearance and resolving difficulties and problems of important projects, especially key projects of the province such as: connecting road to Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, dredging Ben Dinh canal, upgrading and expanding provincial road 994, City Police Headquarters, Rach Dua Kindergarten, technical infrastructure of Phuoc Thang handicraft industrial park.../.
