Localities have scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms

According to the forecast of Lao Cai Province's Hydrometeorological Station, tonight and tomorrow, the weather in localities in the province will be cloudy with scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms, with some places having moderate to heavy rain.

Tonight and tomorrow, due to the influence of a low pressure trough with an axis passing through the northern mountainous region, combined with the wind convergence zone above 5,000 m still operating, the weather in localities in the province will be cloudy, with scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate rain, heavy rain, Southeast wind level 2, cold in highlands and high mountains.

Specific weather forecast for localities in the province is as follows:

Low mountainous areas ( including Bao Yen, Bao Thang, Van Ban districts and some lowland communes of Bat Xat and Muong Khuong districts): Cloudy, with scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate and heavy rain; Southeast wind level 2; temperature from 26 ^o C to 33 ^o C; average humidity above 85%.

High mountainous areas ( including Bat Xat, Muong Khuong, and Simacai districts): Cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; Southeast wind level 2; cold at night and early morning; temperature from 20 ^o C to 28 ^o C; average humidity above 85%.

Lao Cai City : Cloudy, sometimes with rain, showers and thunderstorms; Southeast wind level 2; temperature from 26 ^o C to 33 ^o C; average humidity above 85%.

Sa Pa tourist area : Cloudy, sometimes rainy, showers and thunderstorms; light wind; cold at night and early morning; temperature from 18 ^o C to 24 ^o C; average humidity above 95%.

Bac Ha tourist area : Cloudy, sometimes rainy, showers and thunderstorms; Southeast wind level 2; cold at night and early morning; temperature from 20 ^o C to 28 ^o C; average humidity above 85%.

Warning : During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Many days of rain cause saturated soil and rock, weak connections, geological blocks are susceptible to landslides causing landslides on steep slopes. Localized heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams.
