The Youth Volunteer Campaign has many different programs, and one of the meaningful programs is Pink Holiday. Pink Holiday is organized exclusively for cadres, civil servants, youth, public employees and young workers, aiming to create a good environment for young people to promote the spirit of self-awareness, volunteering, and participating in social security activities in Ho Chi Minh City as well as other provinces.
The Youth Union of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trading Cooperatives ( Saigon Co.op Youth Union) joins the enthusiastic atmosphere of the youth of the whole country in the summer volunteer campaigns, especially the Pink Vacation volunteer campaign. Each campaign season that passes is another journey for Saigon Co.op Youth to live, contribute and grow. Saigon Co.op Youth does not bring anything lofty, but only brings warm hearts, hands that are always ready to share - bringing expertise, volunteerism and responsibility to sow seeds of love to all regions of Vietnam. Many content lines and projects are established and deployed to respond to the peak days of activities according to the plan to organize the summer volunteer campaigns in 2025 of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union.
Responding to the Peak Day of "Volunteer soldiers building a "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful - Civilized - Safe" urban area, proactively preventing and combating drugs and social evils" associated with the Launching Ceremony of the 24th Pink Holiday Volunteer Campaign - 2025, Saigon Co.op Youth Union coordinated with Youth Union bases in the City to organize with many practical content lines such as presenting 01 electronic photo board project "Drug identification and warning" to Ho Chi Minh City Drug Rehabilitation Center. The project has practical significance, contributing to supporting communication and education work on drug prevention and combat in schools and drug rehabilitation facilities. In addition, the activity also includes many outstanding contents such as: summarizing the Unitour series - "Drug-free school", launching "Online exhibition: Drug identification and warning", presenting digital signage screens to Universities and Colleges, and 03 "Legal bookcase" models for Drug Rehabilitation Centers.
Continuing the success of the "Nurturing Green Life" journey in 2023-2024, in 2025, Saigon Co.op Youth Union continues to organize the "Nurturing Green Life" journey for children of officers and employees of the Union Office and children in Thanh An island commune with the participation of more than 400 children with many meaningful activities such as: video clip Propaganda on environmental protection and quick questions - quick answers, Folk game booth with the theme "Waste classification", 0 VND booth, Food booth, Drawing contest "Drawing the sea and sky of the Fatherland with me", Awarding 05 scholarships to disadvantaged students of Thanh An Primary School, Awarding 20 social security gifts to soldiers of Thanh An Border Guard Station, Magic Circus program. In addition, Saigon Co.op Youth Union also held a 3-year review of the "Green Life Nurturing Journey" program, honoring 12 groups with outstanding achievements in maintaining and effectively coordinating the implementation of the "Green Life Nurturing Journey" program for the period 2023 - 2025.
The Youth Union of Saigon Co.op has promoted the activities to care for people in remote areas in this year's summer volunteer campaign. The program "Spreading love - Sowing happiness" in Al Ba commune, Gia Lai province was deployed in the period when the provinces and cities had just completed the organization and put into operation the 2-level government from July 1, 2025. Many practical activities were jointly implemented by Saigon Co.op Youth Union, such as: Awarding 25 scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties and studied well, worth 25 million VND; giving 50 gifts to people with revolutionary contributions, worth 25 million VND; presenting the project "Renovation of community living space in Ser Do Mo village" worth 10 million VND; presenting the project "Digital equipment for community living points" including 2 sets of computers and 1 55-inch smart TV worth 33 million VND; Organize food stalls and game stalls for children.
And especially, the project "Light of Pride - Connecting the Community" was presented with 15 solar lights combined with a national flagpole worth 30 million VND. The project "Light of Pride - Connecting the Community" was deployed following the solar light route deployed by the Saigon Co.op system in the overall social security project to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment and development of Saigon Co.op (1989 - 2024). The total cost of the program is 120 million VND.
In response to the International Day of Cooperatives (July 6), the Youth Union of the Cooperative Union and the Marketing Department jointly organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Festival with a humane message, spreading love to the community. The activity attracted more than 150 staff, employees and customers to register to participate, with more than 200 units of blood mobilized.
Responding to the peak festival "Volunteering to join hands to build new countryside", launching the 159th Green Sunday, at the same time promoting the implementation of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" and the movement "Joining hands to build new countryside". Saigon Co.op Youth Union coordinated with Phuoc Long commune, Vinh Long province to organize volunteer activities in the commune. At the program, the delegation presented 10 sets of computers to support the local government after the merger, contributing to improving the efficiency of public administration work and serving the people. In addition, the delegation built a national flag road in Phuoc Long commune; awarded 20 scholarships to students with difficult circumstances but always striving to excel in their studies; presented 40 social security gifts to disadvantaged households; installed 45 solar bulbs to light up rural roads; planted 150 new trees. In addition, young people organized a training session on “No cash - Easy or difficult”, a booth “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese products”, a game booth and a food booth for local children. The total cost of the program was 180 million VND.
Today’s projects may be small in material terms, but they are the first bricks in the journey to build big dreams. Because wherever there is the presence of youth, there will be hope, positive and sincere change. These contributions have been affirming the pioneering role of youth in participating in building new rural areas, contributing to caring for people’s lives, especially children in remote areas.
